I love these things, so of coarse I had to make time for it. I have a funny story….
It was a rough day Thursday, the day the challenge came out, with carpet people, children, torn up house, and some personal things going on and I wanted to take time to do this challenge- as just something relaxing for me. I sat down with the challenge sample up and I remembered “man card” and “hardware” and I rolled with it. I made this great card I was so proud of (you can see the card here) and then I was like “MAN, I DIDN’T FOLLOW THE CHALLENGE LAYOUT”!! lol What a dork am I. But my card was so pretty.
So needless to say I had to try again for round two and hope I could follow directions this time. Did I?! Let’s see what Mandy or any of the gals on the design team say! LOL
So this is my cute card. It’s using a new Sugar Nellie stamp that I got…well, the stamp is new because it’s the first time I used it, although I bought it like 3 months ago! lol
Hope everyone is having a great Saturday here. Hubby and I just put the little ones down for a nap, so we can shower and get ready for an afternoon/evening at a fun park for pictures and playtime. We have some friends of ours who take all our pictures. I will have to find their website and post it for you! It’s great because it’s not always the easiest to find someone the kids aren’t scared of that can get all 6 of us (4 little ones with the oldest being just now 5) to look at the camera or even not have a yucky face. The 2 that take the pictures are 2 older children of a huge family- maybe 8 siblings total….so they are so great with the little ones and we enjoy visiting with them.
Must go, my littlest one instead of sleeping is standing up yelling 🙂 It’s too funny. We got a picture, I will post it in a bit!

Too funny, Jill, that you used the wrong layout! 🙂 I love BOTH cards, though. And as a matter of fact, the first card you made is really kinda close to the sketch! 🙂 Good luck on the prize drawing….I know you always joke about your bad luck with it! 🙂

I love both cards! with your first try, I can see where you drew inspiration from the sketch (it was a pretty card) but I do love the second one too. great coloring!
